COMPATIBILITY:
With fin-stabilized artillery rockets of calibers - 2.75", 110mm, 122mm, 140mm, 160mm, 228mm, 280mm, 290mm 300mm.
To be used with - high explosive (HE) and cargo-type warheads (AT/AP mains and sub-munitions, illuminating, or smoke).
The basic fuze is the same for all calibers. Mechanical and explosive adaptors define the fuze for each application.

OPERATION MODES:
Time - by remote setting.
Point detonating - by remote setting.

FUZE SETTING:
Fuze is remotely set, wire linked to the fuze setter located at the fire control system position.
Fuze is settable from 10 to 199.9 seconds, in 0.1sec. increments.
Point detonating function is settable by the fuze setter.

ACCURACY:
Better than 0.1sec.

ARMING:
Arming of the fuze occurs only after two independent conditions are sensed:
-Set-back force for a minimum duration
-Sustained air flow.

SAFETY:
Set-back: Acceleration of 20 g minimum for at least 0.1sec.
Air Speed: Must attain speed of at least 100 m/s.
Electronic arming: Only after time of T-4sec. has passed (overhead safety).
Fail safe mechanism: Prevents arming of the fuze whenever arming condition"Air Flow" precedes arming condition "Set Back."
Arming distance: 500m from muzzle, minimum when set to PD.
Shorted detonator: The electronic detonator remains shorted until full arming is achieved.
Safety pull wire: There is no use of a safety pull wire.

OVERHEAD SAFETY:
The fuze will not arm until 4 sec. prior the set time.

POWER SUPPLY:
Air driven (turbine) alternator

EXPLOSIVE OUTPUT:
Expelling mode fuze - 258 mg RDX. (lead charge)

TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS:
Operation - from -40c to +63c.
Storage - from -54c to +71c.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION*
Overall length - Expelling mode fuze - 183.5mm
Intrusion size - Expelling mode fuze - 55.0mm
Cross section diameter - 64.0mm
Thread size - M45 x 2 -6g
Weight - Expelling mode fuze -0.75 kg

*Note: the dimensions given here are for the 122mm version of the fuze.

MILITARY STANDARDS:
MIL-STD-331B - Environmental and performing tests for fuze and fuze components.
MIL-STD-1316D - Fuze design, safety criteria.
STANAG-4187 - Fuzing system - safety design requirements.
